Services

We treat using eight forms of therapy, on their own or combined with one another. Which one is right for you depends on your prescription and on what we find in the first session. If you're not sure what you need, just ask us.

  1. Physiotherapy / Exercise therapy (Krankengymnastik)

Physiotherapy serves to improve and/or restore mobility. Which exercises we carry out depends on your symptoms and your clinical picture.

  2. Manual therapy

Manual therapy uses specific hands-on grip and mobilisation techniques, primarily to resolve restrictions of movement. The aim is to restore the interplay between joints, muscles and nerves.

  3. Manual lymphatic drainage

This therapy is used to decongest swollen tissue: through particular hand movements, the physiotherapist moves the accumulated fluid towards the lymph node station responsible for that area.

  4. Massage

Massage can be applied as a therapy in its own right or as a supporting one. The goals are to loosen tense muscle groups, to promote circulation, to stimulate the metabolism and the circulatory system, and to reduce pain.

  5. Heat therapy: fango / infrared heat

Heat therapy promotes circulation and relaxes both the muscles and the tissue, which can bring relief from pain. Heat packs made of fango or peat mud, as well as infrared heat, are applied to the painful areas of the body.

  6. Equipment-based exercise therapy (KG–Gerät)

To improve strength, endurance, mobility and coordination, physiotherapy often works with medical training equipment and pulley apparatus.

  7. Sling table (Schlingentisch)

Treatment on the sling table addresses painful and immobile limbs in a way that is gentle on the joints, offering the greatest possible relaxation and relief.

  8. Electrotherapy

In electrotherapy, direct and alternating currents are conducted through the body, or through the affected parts of the body, as a form of treatment.

Prescriptions and costs

Most of our treatments are prescribed by a doctor — simply bring your prescription (“Rezept”) to your first appointment. Don't have a prescription, or would you like to come to us as a self-paying patient? Give us a call and we'll work out together what's possible and what it costs.

Not sure what you need?

You don't have to be. Describe your symptoms briefly — by phone or through the form — and we'll tell you how we can help.
